SAM LEACH

1ST INDUCTEE INTO THE MERSEYBEAT HALL OF FAME!

The late John Lennon once said, "Sam Leach was the pulse of the Merseybeat movement.  What he did everybody else copied."

As the Beatles first promoter in Liverpool, Sam Leach presented the Beatles on various stages in Liverpool and nearby towns 49 times, including the famed “Operation Big Beat in 1961”, at the Tower Ballroom.  3000 people paid to see the Beatles perform that night, along with other bands including Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes, Gerry and the Pacemakers and others.

Sam has written several books on the early years of the Beatles, has made guest appearances throughout the U.S. and U.K and is currently managing and promoting American English.

Sam was first introduced to American English in 2001 and was instrumental in bringing the lads to Liverpool for an exclusive showcase during the Operation Big Beat anniversary.  He has referenced American English to being "The Beatles Incarnate."
