Fabulous night at the Sabre Room. It was a long evening but so worthwhile because it's such a great cause and the entertainment is great. We sat all the way in back, which was wonderful because we were able to get up and dance without blocking anyone's view. I sat next to a gentleman from Indian who was in town on business. He heard about the event and drove in from the O'Hare airport area to see the show. He said he's seen other tribute bands but not American English. I told him he was in for a real treat. During the last set, he told me he was going to move up a little closer so he could see the guys a little better. Needless to say, I think he was quite impressed. Thanks to AE and all of the other entertainers for taking part in this benefit. Right now I am so tired, but I'll take a nap later.

Hello Glenn. Do you know if AE will be returning to either Villa Park or Oak Brook Terrace during the first two weekends in September, or if they have other plans (not counting their Ravinia concert September 6)? Thank you!

Glenn (and AE fans): we noticed that in the paper, the listing for Ravinia with AE was August 31, not September 9th, as we were hearing. Did it switch? We may be out of town on Labor Day weekend, so it may affect our decision to go.

The paper is incorrect. The correct date, which is also listed on Ravinia's website is Saturday,Sept. 6, 2008. There's a link on our Mainpage to Ravinia for purchasing tickets. |
